Retired Fire Chief Bud Tomlin passed away on

September 22, 2011

Chief Bud Tomlin passed away today, September 22, 2011 at his home. Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday September 27, 2011 at the Felton Presbyterian Church located at 6090 Highway 9, Felton, CA. A reception will be held at 3:00 PM at the Boulder Creek Fire Department located at 13230 Central Avenue, Boulder Creek, CA. Chief Tomlin's years of dedication and service to the community of Boulder Creek will always be remembered.

Brookdale Lodge Fire and Grove Street Fire Pictures

We have added many pictures of the Brookdale Lodge fire from August of 2009 to the Gallery. There are some outstanding pictures there taken by Dave Hill and Steve Kuehl. We have also added pictures from the fire that took place at Grove Street and Hwy 9 in November of 2009. Some were taken by Lynette Crouch.

The following are videos of the fire at the Brookdale Lodge on August 18, 2009. It went to three alarms. The fire started in the Lodge and spread to the wildland. Other than the Lodge itself, there were no other structures damaged. The following fire departments had equipment at the fire: Boulder Creek Fire, Ben Lomond Fire, Felton Fire, Zayante Fire, Scotts Valley Fire, Central Fire. The videos are all thanks to YouTube.
